New Years Eve '85

Greetings from the cosmos!
For my first post, I wanted to share what I photographed this past New Years Eve. I went to the infamous Ariel Pink show in Bushwick (it was literally down the street from my old apartment) and took my newly acquired vintage Minolta with me.

When I tried to set the date, I realized that it would not let me
continue past '99. So 1985 it was!

Since I hadn't touched this camera since I was a teenager,
I knew the first roll was going to be a huge experiment.
All night I was adjusting the shutter speed, f-stop
and whatever else was able to be manipulated.
The lazers and projections also worked in my favor,
light, especially colored ones in a dark room, are great to
photograph without a flash and a clue of what you're going to get...

The result: a haze a of color and mystery, back-dated to a year
that embodied a similar vibe.
