Caitlin Diaz

Caitlin Diaz hails from the Rio Grande Valley, a small and well-kept secret in south Texas. With Mexico only a few steps from her backyard, she grew up surrounded by yerberias, haunted buildings, extravagant and dilapidated homes and a large dose of Spanish superstition and folklore. Her upbringing allowed her to experiment with different mediums growing up--illustration, painting, sewing, photography and eventually film and animation.

She began animating and editing video on VCRs at 13, later adjusting her analog ways to digital format. Since then, she's been capturing alternate dimensions through film, animation and photography. A magpie of sorts, she collects anything shiny and destructively beautiful, using it as a source of inspiration and decor. She prefers to exist in multiple realities, favoring those that allow for mind expansion and creative production.

She will be shooting on her beat-up vintage Minolta 7000i with an AF 35-70 Minolta lens.
