From Baja to Snowy Days

Baja dogs (post-production fur enhancing courtesy of Ryan Lee)

Let's talk about heartbreak. This image was a powerful visual moment for me, and I'm telling you, if the ocean detail were present it would be epic. It seems my camera might have a light leak, because this blurring/darkening effect appeared in several photos from my first few rolls. I'll tell you what the camera doctor says. In the meantime, despite my technological issues and almost utter lack of knowledge, I'm pushing on.

First Two Rolls

Me on the beach in Baja, taken by someone else of course

My first two rolls were taken in Baja, Mexico. I already had the trip planned before I joined ThisOneCamera, but it was definitely a great way to embark on a photographic journey. When you're in a new place, everything is a photo op. For me, the trick will be learning to see like a photographer in my everyday surroundings. I think that's already starting to happen since my return to Brooklyn.
